Carrick Acknowledges Manchester United's Struggles Ahead of Match

Michael Carrick, the manager of Manchester United, stated that the club has fallen below expectations due to a poor run of results. He made these remarks during a pre-match press conference ahead of the Premier League match against Bournemouth at Old Trafford.

Carrick expressed disappointment over the team's recent struggles, particularly highlighting the painful 4-1 defeat to Como in the Champions League. He acknowledged the pressure on him as the team has not won in seven games and mentioned internal criticism from players, including defender Lisandro Martinez and captain Bruno Fernandes regarding tactics.

Carrick stressed the need to represent the club's values and identity, emphasizing humility, resilience, and hard work. He stated that entitlement has no place at Manchester United and that the team must remain committed to the principles that have historically defined the club.
