FESCA: Ethical Crisis, Not Leadership, Fuels Nigeria's Issues

The Foundation for Ethical Society and Cultural Awareness (FESCA) declared that Nigeria's persistent socio-economic challenges are primarily rooted in a deep ethical crisis within society, rather than being solely attributed to poor political leadership. This assertion was made during a formal announcement in Abuja, where FESCA launched a non-profit platform dedicated to promoting ethical transformation and cultural renewal across the country.

According to FESCA, national development will remain elusive unless Nigerians collectively embrace civic responsibility and accountability in their daily conduct. The foundation emphasized that societal leadership cannot be isolated from ethical orientation, and it described itself as a non-political, non-partisan, non-sectarian, non-tribal, and non-religious organization committed to strengthening ethical values and responsible citizenship.

FESCA plans to establish ethical brigades in schools and communities, recruit and train young Nigerian ambassadors of ethical values, and embark on a nationwide public awareness campaign through various media. The foundation highlighted that national transformation requires participation from all segments of society, including workers, traders, professionals, public officials, and political leaders.
