Ethiopian Airlines Expands Abuja Routes with 3 New Weekly Flights

Ethiopian Airlines is set to expand its routes in Abuja, Nigeria, with three new weekly flights starting on October 28, 2025. The move aims to support the growing trend of Abuja as a significant location for international conferences and meetings.

The additional flights will connect Abuja to various African and Asian destinations, including Dubai and Addis Ababa. The Area Manager, Firiehiwot Mekonnen, highlighted that the extra flights will offer passengers greater advantages, such as increased baggage allowance on certain routes and faster journey times.

The airline, operating the newest aircraft in the world, the B787 Dreamliner, has been serving the Nigerian market since 1960. The expansion is expected to lower traveler costs and enhance service performance, catering to the growing Meetings Incentives Conferences Events (MICE) industry in Nigeria.

Additionally, Air Sierra Leone has commenced flight operations between Freetown and Lagos, as part of its plan to expand its operations in Africa.
