EU Launches €30m Initiative to Boost Nigeria's Creative Sector

The European Union has introduced a €30 million initiative to support Nigeria's creative industry, focusing on strengthening cultural ties between Africa and Europe. The initiative, known as the Africa-Europe Partnership on Culture (AEPC), will be implemented by the Goethe-Institut in Nigeria.

EU Ambassador to Nigeria, Gautier Mignot, highlighted the importance of culture in promoting social cohesion and inclusive growth. The program aims to amplify African voices, foster diverse creative spaces, and ensure that untold stories find global recognition.

Funding will also support cultural initiatives across Africa, demonstrating the EU's commitment to cultural relations with Africa.
