EU Investigates Shein Over Child-like Sex Doll Sales

The European Union (EU) has initiated a formal investigation into the fast fashion giant Shein, focusing on possible breaches of digital law. This move, announced by the European Commission on Tuesday, is part of the EU's Digital Services Act, which scrutinizes online platforms to protect consumers and limit harmful content.

The investigation will specifically examine Shein's system regarding the sale of illegal products, including child-like sex dolls, which were reported by French authorities. The EU aims to enforce measures that could include fines against Shein, which reported global sales of $38 billion in 2024.
