European Club Association Rebrands to 'European Football Clubs' in Major Reform

The European Club Association (ECA) has undergone a major transformation, changing its name to 'European Football Clubs' (EFC) and electing Nasser al Khelaifi as the new chairman. With 800 clubs from 55 countries, EFC seeks to amplify the voice of clubs on a global scale.

The reform aims to address issues like fixture congestion and support FIFA's expanded Club World Cup. Notably, Chelsea recently defeated PSG in the final, coinciding with EFC's rebranding.

Plans for La Liga and Serie A matches in the U.S. and Australia have also been approved by UEFA.
