EU to Hold Emergency Talks on Iran After US-Israel Strikes

The European Union's foreign policy chief announced that the bloc's foreign ministers will hold extraordinary talks on Sunday in response to recent military actions involving the United States and Israel targeting Iranian cities, including Tehran. This decision follows a wave of coordinated strikes that triggered significant explosions and smoke in the Iranian capital.

U.S. President Donald Trump stated in a video message that the strikes were aimed at eliminating an imminent threat from Iran.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz described the actions as preventive measures against potential strikes from Iran. The Pentagon reported that there were no American casualties from the Iranian retaliatory attacks, which involved missile and drone assaults.

Despite the barrage, CENTCOM forces successfully defended against hundreds of Iranian missiles and drone attacks, with minimal damage to U.S. installations.
