ADC Rejects Defectors to APC, Calls Move a Stunt

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has publicly disowned former State House of Assembly candidates who defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that these individuals were not members or candidates of the ADC. Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC's National Publicity Secretary, made this declaration on Monday, responding to the reception of the defectors by APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.

Abdullahi criticized the APC for allegedly presenting random individuals as former ADC candidates, labeling the defection a political stunt. The defectors, led by Princess Aslam Aliyu, expressed their support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration and his re-election bid for the 2027 presidential election.

Hon. Mohammed Hassan, a former candidate from Zamfara State, appealed for the APC leadership to allow them to contribute to the party's activities. Yilwatda welcomed the defectors, assuring them of the APC's support and their opportunity to participate in the party.
