Ex-CDS Musa to Replace Badaru as Nigeria's Defence Minister Amid Resignation

Former Chief of Defence Staff, Musa, is poised to take over as Nigeria's Defence Minister after Badaru resigned citing health concerns. The announcement was made by Tinubu, who praised Badaru's commitment during his tenure.

Badaru, a two-term Governor of Jigawa State, served as Defence Minister since August 2023. Musa's appointment comes after a closed-door meeting with the President at Aso Rock.

Onanuga, a special adviser to Tinubu, confirmed the transition.
