Retired General Alleges Former Nigerian Army Chief Attahiru Was Assassinated in Plane Explosion

Retired Major General Danjuma Ali Keffi, a former head of covert operations in the Nigerian Army, has made explosive allegations regarding the death of former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru. He claims that the May 2021 air disaster that claimed the lives of Attahiru and 10 other military personnel was not an accident but a deliberate act to eliminate them.

Ali Keffi insists that the bodies showed injuries inconsistent with a typical plane crash, suggesting an explosion inside the cabin. He further alleges that Attahiru was targeted due to his efforts to clean up corruption and sabotage within the military.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the true cause of the incident.
