Ex-Deputy Speaker Leads Supporters to Join Labour Party in Abia

Former Deputy Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Ngozi Ulunwa, and ex-Secretary of the State Government, Ralph Egbu, led a group of supporters to join the Labour Party (LP) in Abia. The new entrants, including key figures like Adinigwe Nwoke and Chimezie Nwarie, shifted allegiance to the LP ahead of the 2023 general elections.

The move was announced by political leaders in Abia South, expressing support for the re-election bid of Governor Alex Otti in 2027. Governor Otti, in his address, emphasized the administration's focus on restoring the dignity of the people of Abia State and encouraged more individuals to join the party for collective progress.
