Abraham Jimawo Declares Candidacy for Etsako Reps Seat

Abraham Jimawo, the former Executive Director of the Edo State Rapid Response Agency, has announced his intention to run for the Etsako Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 general elections. Jimawo, a politician based in the United Kingdom and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), disclosed his plans in an interview with Punch Online.

He aims to mobilize grassroots support across Etsako East, Etsako West, and Etsako Central, highlighting the need for adequate representation and engagement with the community. Jimawo's decision follows consultations with stakeholders both at home and in the diaspora.

He emphasized the importance of sustaining support for the current administration led by Governor Mondai Okpebholo and President Bola Tinubu, particularly in addressing insecurity and improving governance. Jimawo noted that the Etsako Federal Constituency remains a battleground for emerging politicians, and he is committed to ensuring that the voices of the people are heard in the political arena.
