Kigbu Secures APC Ticket for Nasarawa Reps Race 2027

Isaac Ali Kigbu, the nephew of former Nasarawa State Governor Tanko Al-Makura, has emerged as the sole candidate for the APC in the House of Representatives race for the 2027 elections. Following consultations with party leadership, including current Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule, Kigbu decided to step down from a competitive race to preserve unity and cohesion within the APC.

In a press briefing in Lafia, he emphasized that his decision was driven by the need to maintain peace within the party. Kigbu also addressed rumors circulating on social media regarding a supposed payment of 50 million naira for his withdrawal, categorically stating that he did not receive any such amount and that his loyalty to the party remains uncompromised.

He reaffirmed his commitment to advocating for the welfare of constituents and public service, distancing himself from any allegations of inducement related to his decision.
