Gwarzo Resigns from ADC Four Weeks After Joining

Gwarzo, the former Deputy Governor of Kano State, officially joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on April 5. However, he has decided to resign from the party just four weeks later, with his resignation letter dated May 1, addressed to the ADC ward chairman in Gwarzo Local Government Area.

This decision comes in the wake of significant political shifts, including the exit of former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso from the ADC on March 30, and Peter Obi's announcement of his departure to join the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). Gwarzo's resignation follows extensive consultations with political associates and reflects a need to reassess his political affiliations in light of evolving political dynamics.

He expressed gratitude towards the ADC leadership and its members for their support during his brief tenure, although he did not disclose his next political move.
