Ex-Katsina Guber Candidate Engr. Khalil Resigns from NNPP

Engr. Moham Nur Khalil, who previously served as a gubernatorial candidate for the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Katsina State, formally resigned from the party, effective immediately.

His resignation letter, dated April 10, 2026, was addressed to the NNPP state chairman and local ward leadership in Kandarawa. Khalil expressed gratitude for the platform the NNPP provided him to pursue his vision for the socio-economic advancement of Katsina State.

He noted that his decision followed a period of profound reflection and extensive consultations with political associates and stakeholders. Although he did not disclose his next political move, Khalil reaffirmed his commitment to the progress of Katsina State and the strengthening of democratic ideals, indicating he would remain active in the political space.

His resignation is expected to have political implications for the NNPP in Katsina, particularly given his prominence as a gubernatorial candidate in the last electoral cycle.
