Zubar Names Osimhen Africa's Best Player Amid Praise

Ronald Zubar, a former defender for Marseille and Wolves, has ranked Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen as Africa's best player. Zubar commended Osimhen for his exceptional goal-scoring ability and mental resilience, noting his 15 goals during the season with Galatasaray.

He emphasized Osimhen's importance to the Super Eagles, particularly in their quest for success in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, where he is expected to wear the captain's armband. Zubar also mentioned that Osimhen has proven critics wrong by continuing to excel despite transfer interests from Saudi Arabia.

Following the recent Africa Cup of Nations, where Nigeria finished third, Zubar expressed a desire for Nigeria to have won the tournament, highlighting Osimhen's role in the team's performance.
