Maman Sale Mamman Declares for Taraba Governorship 2027

Maman Sale Mamman, a former Minister of Power, announced his candidacy for the governorship of Taraba State in the 2027 elections during a speech to a large crowd at his campaign office in Jalingo over the weekend. He highlighted the importance of engaging with stakeholders across the 16 local government areas of the state as part of his campaign strategy.

Mamman called on residents to remain steadfast and embrace a focused approach to governance, stressing the necessity for leadership that anchors clear policies aimed at developmental outcomes. He expressed concern over the persistent gaps in infrastructure that hinder socio-economic growth in Taraba State, which was created 34 years ago but continues to lag behind in basic infrastructure delivery, including a good road network.

Mamman emphasized the urgent need for development in key sectors such as agriculture, education, security, and the economy to unlock the state's potential.
