Ex-NNPCL Boss Mele Kyari Addresses EFCC Probe, Vows Transparency

Former Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mele Kolo Kyari, has spoken out amid an ongoing probe by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Kyari stated that he has nothing to hide and voluntarily presented himself to the EFCC.

The agency is reportedly investigating Kyari's funding of a refinery repair project during his tenure. Kyari emphasized fulfilling his responsibilities and urged the EFCC to carry out its mandate without fear or favor.

He expressed readiness to move forward with transparency and integrity.
