Protesters Demand Arrest of Ex-NNPC Boss Over $4B Refinery Scandal

Protesters, including lawyers and activists, stormed the EFCC headquarters in Abuja demanding the arrest and prosecution of former NNPC boss, Mele Kyari, over an alleged $4 billion refinery scandal. The Concerned Lawyers Citizens Network accused Kyari of betraying Nigeria's economic future and demanded a forensic audit to trace misappropriated funds.

They criticized the EFCC for alleged selective prosecution and called for Kyari's immediate arrest and asset seizure. The protesters highlighted the mismanagement of resources and accused Kyari of using his company, MSM Oil & Gas Nigeria Limited, for money laundering.
