Agbonayinma Challenges Melaye Over Atiku's EFCC Petition

Former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ehiozuwa Johnson Agbonayinma, has responded to Senator Dino Melaye's criticism regarding his petition against former Vice President Atiku Abubakar filed with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Melaye described Agbonayinma's petition as “shameful,” claiming it had been previously investigated and dismissed over ten years ago.

In a statement issued in Benin, Agbonayinma refuted Melaye's assertion that he sought to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC), clarifying that he is a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He emphasized that his petition was motivated by a concern for public accountability and called for the EFCC to investigate the corruption allegations.

Agbonayinma challenged Melaye to address the substance of the petition instead of resorting to personal attacks, asserting that if Atiku had nothing to fear, he should respond to the EFCC's inquiries. He dismissed Melaye's remarks about his political stability as childish insults and urged a focus on facts rather than personalities.
