Ex-Super Eagles Striker Eneramo Dies During Training

Ex-Super Eagles striker Eneramo collapsed and died during a routine training session at a primary school pitch in the Ungwan Yelwa region of Kaduna State. Reports indicate that he suffered a heart attack and was taken to the hospital, but he did not survive.

Eneramo was 40 years old at the time of his death. He retired from professional football in 2018 after a notable career that included a three-year stint with Turkish clubs such as Sivasspor, Besiktas, Istanbul Basaksehir, Karabukspor, and Manisaspor.

He also had a second stint with the Cypriot side T.R.K. Ocagi Limassol SK.

Eneramo was a highly successful player in Tunisia, winning the Tunisian Ligue 1 five times and being the league's highest goal scorer for two seasons. He also won the CAF Champions League in the 2009-10 season and the Tunisian Cup three times.

Eneramo turned down an opportunity to represent Nigeria's national team, making his debut against Jamaica in a friendly match on February 11, 2009.
