Former Super Eagles Forward Michael Eneramo Passes Away

Michael Eneramo, a former forward for the Nigerian national football team, has died after reportedly collapsing during a local friendly match in Ungwan Yelwa, Kaduna, on Friday morning. Eneramo played the entire first half of the match before the incident occurred, with early reports suggesting he suffered a cardiac arrest shortly after the second half began.

Mohammed Sanusi, the General Secretary of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), expressed shock and devastation at the news, offering prayers for Eneramo's eternal rest and for the Nigerian football community to find the strength to bear this loss. Eneramo earned 10 caps for Nigeria's senior national team, the Super Eagles, and was widely respected for his contributions to Nigerian football.

His club career included stints with prominent teams such as the Tunisian giant Espérance Sportive de Tunis and several Turkish clubs, including İktaspor and Sivasspor. The NFF and the Nigerian football community continue to mourn the late striker.
