Senator Marafa Quits APC Over Neglect of Zamfara State by Tinubu

Former Zamfara Central Senator Kabiru Marafa announced his resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC) citing dissatisfaction with the leadership style of President Bola Tinubu and neglect of Zamfara State. Marafa, who served as the Zamfara State Coordinator for Tinubu's 2023 presidential campaign, expressed grievances over the administration's handling of security and political challenges in the state.

The decision followed a consultative forum meeting where supporters from 14 local government areas deliberated on the state's issues. Despite Marafa's loyalty and contributions, the forum highlighted Zamfara's alleged neglect under the Tinubu administration, particularly in addressing escalating insecurity, including being a top state for kidnappings nationwide.
