FCT Administration Under Wike Fails to Pay Teachers Minimum Wage, Leading to Strike

The FCT Administration, led by Nyesom Wike, has failed to implement the minimum wage for primary school teachers despite receiving substantial allocations totaling N66.7 billion over the past 14 months. This has resulted in a strike by teachers across the six area councils in the FCT, with the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) issuing ultimatums for resolution.

The NLC has condemned the FCT Administration's inaction and threatened to picket their offices if grievances are not addressed promptly.
