Vehicle Crash Triggers Explosion at Abuja Gas Store

On Sunday morning, a car crashed into a gas store located on Arab Road in Kubwa, Abuja, around 6:15 am, resulting in a powerful explosion. Eyewitnesses reported that the explosion's impact was strong enough to shake buildings as far as two kilometers away, particularly affecting residents of Dantata Estate.

A local resident described the explosion as loud enough to awaken people from sleep, causing vibrations in their homes. The incident also led to the destruction of shelter stands and signposts at nearby Liberty Junction, with several shops impacted by the ensuing fire.

The vehicle involved in the crash was completely destroyed. Emergency responders, including security operatives and firefighters, arrived at the scene to manage the situation and restore normalcy.

The driver of the vehicle and a child were rescued and taken to the hospital for treatment. There was no immediate official response from security agencies, but a large crowd gathered, obstructing traffic flow in the area.
