FAAC Allocates N1.894 Trillion February Revenue to Governments

The Federal Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) announced the distribution of N1.894 trillion in revenue for February 2026 among the federal government, state governments, and local government councils. The announcement was made by Bawa Mokwa, the Director of Press and Public Relations at the Federal Ministry of Finance.

The total revenue available for distribution in February was reported to be N2.230 trillion, with N1.274 trillion categorized as statutory revenue and N619.119 billion as Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue. The federal government received N61.912 billion, state governments received N340.515 billion, and local government councils received N216.692 billion.

The report indicated a decline in several major revenue sources compared to the previous month, and it noted an increase in receipts from import duties and common external tariffs during the month. This distribution reflects the monthly allocation of federally collected revenue among the three tiers of government in Nigeria.
