‘Fake news, I’m still in APC’ – Former SGF, Boss Mustapha

Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, has refuted claims that he has left the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to join the opposition coalition African Democratic Congress (ADC). Mustapha clarified in a statement that the reports of his defection were "fake news," emphasizing that he is still a member of the APC.

He highlighted that he was engaged in discussions with members of the opposition coalition but reiterated his commitment to the APC, stating that he could not walk away from the party he helped form. Mustapha emphasized that the APC, as a political organization, is focused on addressing challenges and finding solutions within the party rather than defecting to another platform.

He urged the public to disregard speculations suggesting otherwise. Mustapha served as the SGF from 2017 to 2023.
