ADC Denies Court Bar on Mark and Aregbesola Leadership

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has refuted claims of a court order barring the recognition of former Senate President David Mark and State Governor Rauf Aregbesola as party leaders. The party clarified that the Federal High Court in Abuja rejected an ex parte application seeking to stop the National Working Committee from acting as party leadership.

The court instead directed the defendants to be put on notice, with a hearing scheduled for September 15. The ADC denounced the reports as fake news aimed at misleading the public.

The motion was filed by Nafiu Bala Gombe but was rejected by Justice Emeka Nwite.
