Falcon CEO Advocates for Women in Energy Leadership

Audrei Joe Ezigbo, the Chief Executive Officer of Falcon Corporation Limited, has called for the sustained appointment of women to top leadership positions within Nigeria's energy industry. This appeal was made in commemoration of International Women's Day 2026, highlighting the importance of women's social, economic, and political achievements.

Ezigbo pointed out the significant progress made over the past decade in elevating women to leadership roles in the energy sector, which has traditionally been male-dominated. She mentioned notable female leaders, including Mr.

Olu Arowolo Verheijen, Special Adviser to the President on Energy, and Mr. Oritsemeyiwa Amanorisewo Eyesan, who was recently confirmed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).

Ezigbo emphasized that appointing women to leadership roles sends a powerful message about inclusivity and the recognition of competence over gender, which is crucial for the sector's maturity and competitiveness.
