Hajiya Umma El-Rufai's Funeral Set for March 29, 2026

The family of Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, the mother of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, has announced her funeral arrangements. The janazah prayer is scheduled for Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the National Mosque in Abuja.

Following the prayer, she will be buried at Gudu Cemetery. The announcement was made via a statement by her grandson, Bello El-Rufai, on social media.

The family expressed deep appreciation for the outpouring of prayers and condolences during this time of grief and requested that Allah forgive her shortcomings and grant her the highest place in Al-Jannatul Firdau. Hajiya Umma El-Rufai passed away on the previous day, and the family is mourning her loss while inviting the community to join in the funeral prayers.
