Hajiya Umma El-Rufai to be Buried in Abuja on March 29

Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, the mother of former Kaduna State Governor Nasiru El-Rufai, has passed away and will be buried in Abuja on Sunday, March 29, 2026. The funeral prayer will take place at the National Mosque in Abuja at 1:00 PM, immediately following the Zuhr prayer.

A statement issued by Bello El-Rufai, a representative member from Kaduna North and chairman of the House Committee on Banking, noted that the burial will occur at Gudu Cemetery after the prayer. The family expressed deep appreciation for the outpouring of prayers and condolences during this time of grief, invoking blessings for the deceased and asking for forgiveness and a place in Aljannatul Firdau for her soul.
