Ogun State Aquaculture Program Yields N9.17 Billion Revenue for Farmers

The Ogun State Government's aquaculture support program under the OGSTEP initiative has resulted in fish farmers earning N9.17 billion in revenue. Hon.

Bolu Owotomo disclosed this during an inspection of the project, highlighting the government's investments in feed subsidies and infrastructure development. Over 4,256 aquaculture farmers benefited from the program, leading to increased fish production, reduced costs, and improved incomes.

The government also extended support to the poultry subsector, benefiting broiler farmers and enhancing food security measures.
