FCT Council Chairmen Support Aduda's APC Defection

The chairmen of various area councils in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have publicly supported Philip Taminu Aduda following his recent defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC). During a meeting in Abuja, the chairmen, including Danlami Chiya of Kwali Area Council, Abdullahi Sabo of Kuje Area Council, and John Shekwogaza of Bwari Area Council, expressed that Aduda's move is a step towards unity and progress for the residents of the FCT.

They noted that his decision was driven by the desire to improve the welfare of the people rather than personal ambition. The chairmen called for Aduda to contest again for a seat in the National Assembly, citing his valuable leadership and track record.

They also expressed optimism about the upcoming 2027 elections, emphasizing the need for collaboration among political leaders, including FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, to enhance governance and political participation in the territory.
