FCT Elections Show Low Voter Turnout, Urgent Analysis Needed

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) elections recorded a low voter turnout of roughly 14-15%, with an estimated 1.68 million registered voters and only 239,210 casting their votes. This turnout raises concerns about deeper democratic challenges that cannot be ignored, especially with the upcoming 2026 FCT area council elections.
