FCT Elections: AMAC Chairman Picks New Running Mate

AMAC Chairman, Hon Christopher Maikalangu, has chosen Hon Yusuf Mohammed Nadabo as his new running mate for the 2026 Area Council election in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The decision to replace the incumbent vice chairman, Hon Nasir Umar, was announced at an APC meeting in Abuja.

Maikalangu cited Nadabo's impressive credentials and capacity to contribute to the council's development as reasons for his selection. Nadabo, with extensive political experience and grassroots appeal, is seen as a strategic choice given his decade of service in party politics and governance.

The move is believed to strengthen the APC's chances in the upcoming election. The decision was commended by the AMAC APC chairman, Alhaji Muktar Abubakar, who expressed confidence in Maikalangu's leadership vision and partnership for success in 2026.
