FCT Police Clarify Stop-and-Search Incident Involving Naval Officer in Abuja

The FCT Police Command clarified an incident where a naval officer, Lt. Ahm Yerima, was involved in a stop-and-search operation at NNPC junction along Kubwa Expressway in Abuja.

The police refuted claims of an attack and described the reports circulating on social media as false and misleading. The incident occurred on a Saturday evening when a patrol team stopped a vehicle with concealed number plates and tinted windows.

Three naval personnel arrived at the scene, and the situation was handled amicably without any violence. CP Miller Dantaway urged residents to cooperate with security operations and avoid spreading fake news.
