FCT Resident Doctors Suspend Strike After Senate Intervention

The Association of Resident Doctors of the Federal Capital Territory Administration has suspended their indefinite strike following interventions from the Senate Committee on Federal Territory Area Councils and the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike. The President of the association, George Ebong, announced the suspension, with members expected to resume work on Monday.

Despite none of their demands being met, the association aims to engage in dialogue with the minister to address issues related to improved working conditions, remuneration, and welfare. The strike was initiated to emphasize the need for better healthcare provisions and fair treatment of medical professionals.
