Aisha Yesufu Gains Support in FCT Senatorial Race

Aisha Yesufu, a leading human rights activist and candidate for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) senatorial seat under the Nigeria Democratic Congress, has been actively campaigning across six area councils. Her strategy includes door-to-door engagements to interact with residents and understand their specific challenges, such as insecurity, poor road conditions, unemployment, inadequate healthcare, and lack of access to quality education and water supply.

Yesufu visited the councils of Abaji, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Bwari, Gwagwalada, Kuje, and Kwali, where she met with party leaders, stakeholders, youth representatives, and women's groups to strengthen grassroots support. She emphasized the importance of unity and transparency in leadership, pledging to incorporate residents' concerns into her policies.

Yesufu reaffirmed her commitment to selfless leadership and improving the welfare of FCT residents. Her campaign aims to mobilize support for the upcoming party primaries and the 2027 general elections, with a focus on inclusive governance and community development.
