Sowore Backs Yesufu's FCT Senate Bid for 2027 Elections

Omoyele Sowore, a prominent activist, publicly supported Aisha Yesufu's candidacy for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Senate seat in the 2027 elections. During an interview on Monday, May 11, Sowore highlighted that Yesufu had previously condemned political participation, which she now seeks to engage in by running for office.

He expressed a desire for her to join the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), as she has reportedly left the African Democratic Congress (ADC) following the former Labour Party presidential candidate's declaration of intent to contest the FCT Senate seat. Sowore acknowledged that Yesufu's decision to pursue public office reflects a significant shift in her earlier position that politics was not a business.
