Nigeria Repatriates Stranded Citizens from Côte d’Ivoire

The Federal Government of Nigeria successfully repatriated a batch of stranded Nigerians from Côte d’Ivoire on a voluntary repatriation program. The returnees arrived at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Tuesday at 7:10 PM aboard Air Côte d’Ivoire flight HF 806.

The operation was led by Zakari Abubakar, Head of Operations at the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), which coordinated the reception in collaboration with relevant government agencies. Upon arrival, the returnees underwent identification verification, health screening, and documentation procedures to ensure their safe and dignified return.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, alongside officials from the Nigeria Immigration Service and the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI), provided immediate humanitarian assistance. This operation reflects the Federal Government's commitment to ensuring the safe return of Nigerians stranded abroad and providing necessary support services for their reintegration into society.
