Federal Gov’t Introduces New Curricula to Enhance Nigerian Education

The Federal Government of Nigeria has unveiled new curricula for basic and senior secondary education, aiming to enhance learning outcomes by reducing subject overload. The comprehensive review, conducted in collaboration with key stakeholders like the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council, focuses on balancing subject offerings and promoting practical learning.

The new curriculum framework aims to ensure education remains relevant in today's world by allowing more time for learning and reducing content overload. Minister of Education, Maruf Tunji Alausa, emphasized the importance of stakeholder commitment in implementing the revised curriculum, which will undergo strict monitoring to guarantee effectiveness and quality in basic and technical education across Nigeria.
