Federal University Kachia Commences Academic Activities with 2,000 Students

The newly approved Federal University Kachia has commenced academic activities with an initial enrollment of 2,000 students. The institution, established under the administration of President Bola Tinubu, began operations in line with the Federal Government's directive for new federal universities to start by September 2025.

The Vice Chancellor, Barnabas Quirix, highlighted the university's focus on producing graduates equipped with entrepreneurial and innovative skills. The curriculum, guided by the National Universities Commission (NUC), integrates courses in Business Enterprise, Environmental Studies, and Social Governance to prepare students for job creation and entrepreneurship.

This development is seen as a significant boost to Nigeria's higher education sector and aims to reduce reliance on government jobs by fostering a culture of entrepreneurship.
