FG Partners with Access Bank to Empower Women Creatively

The Federal Government of Nigeria, in partnership with Access Bank, is launching an initiative aimed at empowering women within the nation's creative economy. This initiative is designed to broaden access to finance, enhance skill development, and create leadership opportunities for women, enabling them to thrive in various creative industries.

Minister of Arts, Culture, and Tourism, Hannatu Musawa, announced this initiative during a keynote address at an International Women's Day conference held in Lagos, which attracted 5,000 participants both physically and virtually. Aisha Adamu, representing the Central Black African Art Civilisation (CBAAC), highlighted the increasing role of women in business and innovation.

Former Minister of Education, Obi Ezekwesili, emphasized the necessity of prioritizing women's inclusion in development processes, asserting that societal transformation hinges on addressing women's issues. Chairman of Access Bank, Ifeyinwa Osim, noted that investing in women is crucial for sustainable economic growth.
