FG to Arraign Alleged Perpetrators of Benue Killings in Abuja Court

The Federal Government will arraign individuals with strong links to the killings in Yelwata town, Benue State, at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday. Justice Joyce Abdul Malik will preside over the arraignment, as confirmed by the Attorney General of the Federation.

The arraignment comes after a painstaking investigation by various government agencies. The suspects are accused of being involved in a terrorist attack in June 2025, where about 200 members of the Yelwata community were reportedly killed, and several houses were burnt down.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reiterated the government's commitment to protecting lives and properties as enshrined in the constitution.
