FG Ensures Safe Resumption for Unity Colleges on Monday

The Federal Ministry of Education confirmed that Federal Unity Colleges will reopen on Monday, with necessary arrangements for a safe and seamless start to the new academic session. Minister of Education, Dr Maruf Tunji Alausa, stated that the safety and wellbeing of students and staff are priorities for the federal government.

Relevant security agencies have been informed and will maintain heightened vigilance around the colleges and their surroundings. Alausa urged parents and guardians to remain calm and rely on official information as they prepare for their children's return to school.

He directed the authorities of the Federal Unity Colleges to coordinate closely with security agencies to ensure an orderly resumption. The ministry reiterated its commitment to providing a safe learning environment as part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The ministry will continue to monitor developments and collaborate with relevant authorities to ensure a smooth resumption of academic activities.
