FG Starts February Salary Payments, Clears Wage Arrears

The Federal Government of Nigeria has begun the payment of February salaries for federal workers and has cleared one month of wage award arrears, which is part of three months of outstanding wage awards owed to federal employees. The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) initiated this payment process following complaints regarding delays that had caused anxiety among civil servants.

The spokesman for OAGF explained that the delays were due to technical issues, which have now been resolved. The OAGF has assured workers in Mokwa, Nigeria, that proactive steps have been taken to prevent future disruptions in the salary payment cycle.

The payment of February salaries is expected to commence soon, with the OAGF reiterating its commitment to ensuring a seamless salary administration to maintain public confidence in the federal government's payroll system.
