FG Starts Payment of February 2026 Salaries for Workers

The Federal Government of Nigeria has initiated the payment of February 2026 salaries for workers under the treasury fund, with the process starting on March 2, 2026. This announcement was made by Bawa Mokwa, the Director of Press and Public Relations at the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF).

The delay in the payment of February salaries was attributed to technical hitches, which have now been resolved. Mokwa emphasized that necessary measures have been implemented to prevent a recurrence of such delays in the future.

Additionally, the OAGF has received approval to conclude the payment process for the month’s wage award and to address three months of outstanding arrears.
