FG Allocates N9.9bn for Cash Transfers in Ondo State

The Federal Government of Nigeria has confirmed the disbursement of N9.9 billion in cash transfers to 396,671 households in Ondo State through the Household Prosperity Empowerment Cash Transfer Program. This initiative is part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, which has reached nine million households across the country.

The cash transfer program delivers N75,000 in three tranches to the poorest and most vulnerable households nationwide. Bernard Doro, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Poverty Alleviation, and Disaster Management, announced these details during a stakeholder engagement at St.

David's Primary School in Ibule Ifedor Local Government Area. He expressed concerns about the low awareness of the program among citizens and emphasized the need for improved communication and transparency.

Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa praised the federal government's efforts, highlighting the importance of collaboration between federal and state governments to ensure the program's success.
