Federal Ministry and Harmony Gardens Launch 5,000 Homes in Lagos

The Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, in collaboration with Harmony Gardens & Estate Development Limited, will conduct a groundbreaking ceremony for a 5,000-unit housing development in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State, on October 30, 2026, at 10 a.m. This initiative is part of the Renewed Hope Housing Development Initiative and the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria’s Renewed Hope Housing Programme, targeting the expansion of homeownership access and addressing Nigeria’s housing deficit.
The project will deliver housing units within 24 months across three locations: Granville, The Parliament, and Lekki Aviation Town. Prospective homeowners can participate with an equity contribution of N5.5 million and may access mortgage financing of up to 90 percent of the property’s value, with a single-digit interest rate and repayment periods of 15 to 30 years.
Dr Audullahi Saheed Mosadoluwa, managing director and CEO of Harmony Gardens, stated that the project aims to make quality housing accessible and stimulate economic activity through construction-related jobs and demand for building materials.
