Nigerian Government Seeks Diaspora Support from Nigerians in US to Tackle Insecurity

The Nigerian government, through Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, urged Nigerians in the US to support efforts in tackling insecurity in Nigeria during a virtual meeting organized by the Nigerian Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM). Minister of Foreign Affairs Yusuf Tuggar highlighted the need for accurate diagnosis of issues to find effective solutions, pointing out factors like the collapse of Libya and arms restrictions.

NIDCOM Chairman Abike Dabiri-Erewa emphasized the importance of cooperation and deeper understanding between the diaspora and the government. The event concluded with a commitment to collaboration and finding lasting solutions to Nigeria's challenges.
